I, too, was a temp for a technical firm in the Northwest. I, however, was never fired. I slept at times on the job. In the open. I showed up late. But then again somehow I still got more done than the others I worked with. I learned how to use this internet thing while on the job. Mind you that had nothing to do with my job. Even after all that, I never got fired. While he may have gotten fired for letting people know that Microsoft employee's use Macs, I cannot get fired for saying this: Tektronix has some major security issues. Despite having ID tags and electronically locked doors, it is easy to get in and have a snoop around to have a look at proprietary information. Just walk right in like you work there. The real trick is knowing where to walk in. Might I suggest that the bay doors are just like barn doors, and often left open.

No real point to the post, just getting rid of the only secret I have.

Because a college won't post it, I will. And its not copyright infringement. It's first amendment and fair use. See here and here for the more complete story.

Got a job. At Smith Freed & Eberhard. For those of you from the Bend area, that is an Eberhard of the Eberhard's Dairy fame. Start Monday. As you can imagine, my mother is pleased.

If you ever wanted to just see a Supreme Court justice smile and nod
Get 'em while there hot! Justice is a dish best served bobble head. Ok, that made no sense. It's Supreme Court Justice Bobblehead Dolls.

I know Starbuck, and you are no Starbuck
This is a big mistake. While I am excited that they are bringing it back, I think they would have done better to continue the series from where it left off in the first and only season. I mean, those of us who liked it, liked it for a variety of reasons. But the point is, we liked it. You can't make wholesale changes just to be different. If we wanted different, we could watch any sci-fi show. We want what we know. Either don't mess with the male-male dynamic or make them the decendants of Apollo and Starbuck. Why reinvent the wheel? In other words, the Sci-Fi channel is making a big mistake. And Olmos is no Lorne Green. Olmos is mean. Green was nice, thoughtful and wise.

So, the Ducks won. Won big. Shut out the Cardinals. And that stupid tree didn't dance in our endzone. I didn't see much of the game. I spend the entire second half at the U of O Law Alumni tent. Got very drunk. Continued to drink. Sunday was a waste. Up early today with nothing to do.
