What are you doing on March 14. I hope celebrating the day the way it deserves to be celebrated. Now if only I could find a girl in this state who was interested in me to spring this on....

Luke Jackson of the Oregon Ducks named to ESPN's All-American FIRST TEAM. They go on to say that he may have played his way into a lottery pick.

Found 'em

Ah, the infamous WMD, finally found. Of course, they weren't found in Iraq. Nor Afganistan. They were found in Lybia. Found may not be the right word. They said "neener neener, we've had 'em all along." Soooo.... When does Hussein get to go home? Or, perhaps the better question is: How long until Bush decides he needs another war to boost his re-election campaign?

NFL musings

John Kitna - I am not a Kitna fan, but I think naming Carson Palmer the starter is a mistake. Kitna lead a potentially very bad team to the the verge of the playoffs. Hell, Kitna never even left the game. Palmer has ZERO game experience. Why make this year a rebuilding year when for the first time in a decade you had a year to build upon?

Eric Crouch - He never should have won the Heisman. He did, but oh well. Well now he wants a third chance at the NFL. Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, shame on you, fool me thrice though? Try the CFL.

Star Power and Arrests - Former first round pick Jeremy Stevens was convicted of reckless driving and the Seahawks want him to give back $300,000. Down south, McNair faces drunk driving and gun possession charges. Somehow I have a feeling that he won't get fined.

Being a Steelers fan from Oregon - Let's just say it ain't easy. I just found out that Bettis is coming back again next year, but aside from the wide receivers, I can't name too many Steelers. Not much news heads this direction.

Maurice Clarett - I think the judges decision to let him be eligible for the draft (which had quick ripple effects where Williams of USC quickly announced for the Draft and threw the whole first round into a frenzy) will be bad for football, both professional and quasi-professional (ie NCAA). I don't know what the NCAA and NFL can do to fix the problem without fears of collusion, but they need to do something quick to preserve the integrity of the game. I don't know enough about football to know the complexity, but I know enough to know it is more complex that I would have imagined. And everything I hear about the NFL game is that it is faster and stronger than the NCAA's, so it surprising that Williams has moved to the top of the charts. As for Clarett, I could care less where he goes. Oh, and his career in the NFL will be over approximately five minutes after the draft is over.

So, this weekend they put elevator music in the elevators at my work. We have express elevators, but they don't seem that express when you are waiting for them. I work above the 13th floor, so the elevators have to go from floor 13 to the grounds floors, which can take way too long. I think the elevator waiting adds 4 minutes to my day everyday. On the bright side, when I am in the elevator alone I jump just before the elevator stops. When it is going up, you can jump high and its sorta cool. When you go down, you hit hard and before you expect to. But I stiill do it anyway.

I don't who the guy is
but over at Cockeyed he asked for a sticker. I think it would be fun to send him all sorts of stickers, and not just the Safeway sticker he wanted...
