Mexico

So I am back (and have been back) from Mexico. I went to Puerto Penarta and stayed at a Mayan Palace. Mayan Palace is a time share resort type of place. Where in the hell is Puerto Pinanta you may ask? Well, in six years you will know. They are putting in an international airport and building lots and lots of condos/timeshares/resorts. It will be a golf mecca of sorts I guess. The people were friendly. So friendly, in fact, that my group was invited to people's homes, poker games, and to enter pool tournaments. I kareoked a few times, drank, played pool, swam, drank, shopped, drove around, went deep sea fishing, played poker and drank. Four of us went down (of an original planned group of six). After like 2 days, one of our group thought it would be better to pay $80 for a taxi back to Pheonix and $50 to get a new flight rather than stay and play with us. We played cards, pool, and poker. One of our group smoked out for the first time. That was interesting. The bars were ok. There was one grocery store. It was not fully sanitary. Much different than America. The pool at Mayan Palace (there were two, an indoor and an outdoor, this is about the indoor) was not heated very well. There was no hot tub available without paying an additional fee. The weather sucked. It was too cold to swim in the ocean much and too cold to swim in the outdoor pool. I worried about work a lot. I spent like a week down there, but don't have much to say for that time. Sorry.
