Sutter is in, but not the Hawk?

Okay. Message to the Baseball Writers of America: Andre Dawson belongs in the Hall of Fame. While I would like to think that is enough said, its probably not given how little respect he seems to be given by the the writers. Apparently the writers weren't even moved into action when Ryne Sandberg said he deserved to be in the Hall during his acceptance speech. Apparently, the writers don't care that the man was class off the field (he would sign autographs in the mail and kindly ask that a donation to a charity be made). Apparently they don't care that he won the NL MVP in 1987 for a last place team. They don't care that he was a Rookie of the Year, that he had several Silver Slugger awards for Outfielders, and that one could pencil him in for 20+ HRS and 20+ steals each year (until his knees gave out at the end). There is only one player not in who deserves to be in and isn't more than the Hawk and that is the Rose, but we won't get into that here.

Listen up Cooperstown: Until the Hawk gets in, I won't being going in either.
